I troll Apple.com’s Trailers area for things to geek out about on my HD Cinema screen. I saw this image and was instantly bewitched.
I’m fascinated by movie poster art, from stylized King Kong art to all the variations on Jaws. It is to the credit of unsung (but well-paid) print designers that so much poster art gets branded in memory.
What I dig about the Kinky Boots poster is that it evokes a sense of naughtiness and fun. Of course, that doesn’t do anything to make me actually want to see a movie with Calendar Girls pedigree, but hey, that’s what Netflix is for, eh?
