Stanford luminary Paul Romer started a business that allows economics professors to deliver homework assignments (in a Flash-based browser app) to students. With research and iterative design, we dramatically refined the student's homework UI. The point of the project was to get inside an economics student's head—by observing her study habits and locations, we were able to push the calendar envelope and characterize online office hours.
